New York City with the girls was awesome, I couldn't have had a better time. We left Court's at 10am yesterday, got hit on by crazy Indians at Dunkin Donuts, and got lost a few times, but it was all good because Tara jumped out of the van to chase down a construction worker for directions. Finally we parked at Port Authority after D-Heis "worked her magic" on the lesbian security guard to let us park, even though the lot was full. Way to go, Donna! So we started walking out of the parking garage, got hit on by another security guard in a golf cart, got hit on by homeless men outside of the parking garage, and got hit on some more as we walked through the subway to get our MetroCards. We went downtown to Soho, Chinatown and Little Italy and spent some time in an AWESOME Halloween shop trying on glasses and planning Court's and my Sweet Sixteen Party. (Info can not be given.. hehe) After wandering aimlessly though the rest of Soho, we finally got back in the subway to go to Ellen's Stardust Diner for lunch. As soon as we ordered our food, what did they start singing but "Seasons of Love" from Rent. How ironic! After lunch, we walked around Times Square, did some thrift shopping, looked for souvineirs, and spent a well deserved hour of beauty in Sephora where i made the purchase on an eyeshadow from Cargo and a Hard Candy eyeliner. Spent awhile in Starbucks before going to the theater. Finally the moment arrived! We made our way to the Nederlander Theater on 41st, got out seats which were third row mezzanine... SO AWESOME. Rent itself was absolutely amazing. Matt Caplan, the guy who played Mark, sounded just like the singer from Relient K. Of course during the second act, there wasn't a dry eye among us girls. After the show was over, the girls and I had the pleasure of meeting Justin Johnson, the guy who played Angel. Got home around 2am, and just got up an hour ago haha. Time for the pics!
